Project Changelog

Tracking the evolution of the Rarity List

January 2026

  • Dynamic Signatures: Introduced live-updating forum signature images! Features include friendly URLs (e.g., /signature/Bulbasaur.png), Gen 8 icon support for all variants, custom visual filters for Dark/Golden types, and seamless integration on the History page.
  • Economy Analytics Dashboard: A comprehensive new page featuring data visualizations of the entire TPPC economy, including Type distribution, Gender demographics, and Rarity tiers.
  • Interactive Drill-downs: The Analytics charts now interact with each other; clicking a Pokémon Type (like Golden) will filter the Rarity Tier chart to show the distribution for that specific variant.
  • Advanced Population Stats: Added charts for Average Abundance per Variant, Population Distribution histograms, and lists for the Most Volatile populations (most historical changes).
  • Demographics Deep Dive: New section highlighting Gender skews, including 100% stacked composition charts and lists of species with the most skewed (but mixed) gender ratios.
  • Zero Population History: A new page tracking Pokémon that have hit zero population. It features a list of currently zero-pop Pokémon (with disappearance dates) and a list of Pokémon that have recovered from it.
  • Watchlist / Favorites: Users can now "Star" their favorite Pokémon. Preferences are saved locally and can be filtered using the new "Favorites only" view.
  • Daily Movers Dashboard: Added a new section at the top of the home page to highlight the top 5 gainers and losers of the day.
  • Movers Categories: Integrated tabs into the Movers dashboard to filter between All, Normal, Shiny, Dark, and Golden Pokémon.
  • Refined Mobile Card View: Completely overhauled the table display for mobile users, transforming cluttered rows into polished, easy-to-read cards with a dedicated header and stats grid.
  • Table Layout Improvements: Added a dedicated column for favorite stars to ensure perfect alignment of Pokémon names on all devices.
  • Responsive Enhancements: Improved UI for mobile devices, including scrollable filter tabs and better alignment of main containers.

Pre-2026

  • Historical Graphs: Implemented Highcharts for visualizing rarity trends over time for individual Pokémon.
  • Box Checker & Organiser: Tools added to help users manage their own collections alongside rarity data.
